ok so i cant look at this one persons profile/away message. my computer always says "Please Wait..." does this happen to anyone else and do you know what's wrong? thanks.

well, if it isnt a trick, or just hte person telling you wait for them in their away message, it is actualy possible that whatever they put into their profile is simply too much to handle for your computer. that is difficult to accomplish, so it is most likely just them telling you to wait. try to highligh the "please wait" if you can, then that means they simple wrote it.

Sometimes people like to be funny and trick people into sitting there waiting for their profile to load, so they write "Please wait..". Believe me, I fell for that once and wound up sitting there for like, 5 minutes haha. Other than that, your computer's connection might just be bad at the moment. Sometimes computers and programs get really whacky like MySpace. MySpace is always changing and slowing down and not posting bullitens. Sometimes programs just get glitches or are being slow and screwy. Just wait for awhile and see what happens. I hope I helped.

They're probably tricking you. If "OK" is grayed out, then there's a problem loading, it can happen. Otherwise, they typed "Please Wait..." in Times New Roman as their profile.

I know some people that actually type "Please Wait..." as their profiles to trick people. There is a way you can tell if they did this. When you are looking at someone's profie, there two buttons on the top right "OK", and "Close". If the "OK" button is faded and you can't click on it, that means that the person is trying to trick you and they just typed in "Please Wait..." as their profile. If you can press it, that means that for some reason their profile isn't showing up. If this is happening with everyone, and not just one person, that means that your connection is bad. If it's just happening with one person or if it's happening when they are away and an away message doesn't come up, I don't know what to tell you. It might be that they have a lot of colors and symbols and things in there and it's too much information to send to you. It may also be that you haven't upgraded AIM. There was an upgrade available recently. If you haven't gotten that you should anyways and it might solve your problem. I'm pretty sure that they're just trying to be funny though so check on that. sometime people have no clue what to make their profile so thay make it Please Wait.... lol like they would write it and thats their pro but if its not that then maybe theres and error loading??
