Question Posted Monday September 11 2006, 8:30 pm

uhm, ok. i started smoking last january and i really didn't want to start but my friends were doing it and i didn't want to seem uncool. well, i kinda got hooked on it and smoked whenever possible. i got caught one day and swore i would never do it again but my friends still smoke around me and i find it harder and harder to turn away from taking a drag or something like that. how do i stay off smoking for good?

I'm a smoker myself. So I know exactly how it is, I've wanted to quit forever. But enough about me.

Instead of smoking a cigarette, eat a skittle, or one of your favorite little candies. Everytime you want a cigarette, eat a lollipop instead. You can't really quit unless you really want to. So if you're as dedicated as you want to be, it should be easy to start cutting back and eventually stop. Good luck, keep me posted && please let me know what worked for you. -Angel

i know it may be hard to stop. You should ask your friends to not smoke around you. And if youe friends pressured you into smoking the maybe they are not you friends. Or maybe one of your friends are trying to quit too. You could quit together. But most importanly talk to your parents. No mattter what you did they won't be disapointed, they love you.Plus they have a liftime of knowlage

Hon, if they smoke, they are not your friends. You really really need a new crowd to hang out with. Every smoke you take cuts off 11mins of your life. SERIOUSLY.

Sweetie, get new friends. They are not worth getting cancer for!!!!
