selectopaque answered Monday September 11 2006, 9:30 am: No, it's not possible. It would be like a person being allergic to themselve. It's also not possible for a cat to be allergic to themself. If a cat gets red dots, then there is a different problem. A being can't be allergic to itself. That being would die as a baby if they were. MummuM answered Sunday September 10 2006, 11:56 pm: I don't know if that would be possible. It might be, but I'm not too sure about it. My sister has a cat and the vet said he is 'kind of' allergic to himself. (It's actually kind of sad, though. He always breaks out in red puffy dots on his lips!) It could be possible for dogs to be allergic to other dogs, though. You never know. ♥ [ MummuM's advice column | Ask MummuM A Question ]

Nallie answered Saturday September 9 2006, 8:32 pm: I am wondering why you are asking? No, dogs cannot be allergic to other dogs, but they may be allergic to shampoo, flea prevention or other topical solutions that are on the other dogs coat. [ Nallie's advice column | Ask Nallie A Question ]
