Oh gosh.
So today was my first day of sophmore year and I woke up with a gigantic white head. Yesterday I kinda squeezed it, so hopefully I thought there would be no ugly white center. Sadly today there it was. Larger, reder and more noticeable ever. And I saw the boy i liked and waved, but I feel like people are only staring at my nose! How can I possibly get the redness to go down so its not noticable.

Well if you could get sea salt spray my friend said that it gets rid of pimples over night.
You could try to foundation and then a concealer to try and hide the redness. Try not to toch it or pop it or pick it because that will only make it more red.

First of all, congrats for waving at your crush with confidence, even though youre feeling a little insecure about your face. I assure you, EVERYONE's had/going to get/gotten zits. EVERYONE. And usually people don't even notice them, so don't worry. Here's the deal. Coming from a girl who *once* suffered with acne, here's my tips for getting rid of zits, and preventing new ones:
-DO NOT pick at it! It will make your white head come back in a matter of hours, and it hurts really bad, too.
-DO NOT use harsh products such as EXFOLIATORS (spelling?) and SCRUBS. Use an Oil-Free Acne wash, such as Neutragina, (sp.?) & follow the instructions on the wash. I personally have never used them, but I have heard that OXY PADS have worked good for my friends.
-SCRUBBING does NOT help. It will make your face WORSE.
-Despite what some will tell you, you can't clear up a zit in a day. Especially if you have a bunch of acne, you won't see results from the product you use TODAY until 3 weeks from now. Yes, it sucks, but we all go through this. One zit may be different. The best thing you can do is to simply keep your face clean.
-Wash your face with simply washcloth and water as many times as you wish, at least twice daily. You can also try an acne wash if you have a lot of acne, but for a one pimple, a wet washcloth will get rid of the dirt.
-BE CONSISTENT. This was the biggest problem I had when I had acne -- I would use a product for a while, and then quit when my face cleared up. Don't do this! Especially if you have a lot of acne that keeps coming back, it is important to keep using the same product consistently to prevent acne from coming back and getting rid of your current zits. Remember, it takes at least 3 weeks to see results.

You could not pick at it becuz tht will only make it not get redder but also bigger. and you dont want that. and then if you have some, put cover up on it during school to hide the redness and at night put sum pimple or acne stuff on it so it can get rid of it.

ugh, I no how you feel. I have a giant whitehead too, and I start school tomorrow. I would go get Queen Helene's Mint Masque. It's really good, and cheap! Also, drink tons and I mean tons of water. If you want to cover it up with foundation, use one that's non-comedongenic. (won't clog pores) Everyone gets zits, I don't care how perfect you are.
And remember, a zit can't change another persons day, but a smile can. (lol, I know it's dorky)

Hey, its ok that you have a white head! all you need to do is clean it as much as possible to keep the redness and white head to be gone. everyone goes threw these kinds of problems so you dont need to worry! but just make sure that next time you dont mess with it! all you need to do,(if this happens again),is to scrub it and iv heard that dove soap works to clean off ure face! but if you have true friends then you should know that they wont care and that you dont need to worry about your face!

The same thing happened to me. My mom went to walgreens and bought the Oxy pads and the Acne Medication. I use it everyday and my mom says she notices a huge difference.

PS: DONT cover your zits up with foundation! I know you really want to hide them, but if you cover them up, more dirt and oil will get in your skin and cause even more pimples to grow.
