no clue
So there is this guy and he is very nice and he is always saying to me, you are really cool, you are pretty, etc. So sometimes online he will ask me questions like do you think i am hot, do you think you could ever like me more as a friend and stuff like that.
So usually I say no or idk. Because I don't want to lead him on by saying yes or something else. But then I feel bad, like I am hurting his self esteem and putting him down. What should I do? What should I say when he asks me?

Hey. Well when he asks you these things and you reply no or idk it probably is hurting him so I probably wouldn't do that. Say things like I think you are so cute and such a great friend but right now I have a lot going on. Believe me you won't lead him on too much if you throw him a few compliments and be nice to him. Also, if this other guy likes you only a little, why not be nicer to this guy who really likes you? If you're really not interested just try to keep your friendship at a happy, healthy rate. Well, yes, you might be hurting his self-esteem or putting him down, but that happens with everyone. I mean, you can't sit there and lead the kid on and tell him you like him or anything, cause in the end, that would probably hurt more. Just let him know how you're feeling and the next time he asks if you like him or anything, just like him know you only like him as a friend, so then maybe he'll stop asking you. You just got to be honest with him. just be like,"i'm sorry, but i only really like you as a friend. i wouldn't want that to get messed up even if we WERE to date and we'd break up, cause then it'd get all ruined. i just hope we can be really great friends though." [ or something like that ]

you have to tell him the truth because hes just going to keep liking you more and more and then if you keep waiting by the time you tell him how you feel he will be even more heart broken. you should just say "im really sorry ____ but i dont like you the way you like me and i just want us to stay really close friends im really sorry i think your really nice but i dont see a relationship working out." if you say that he really cant be that mad just tell him your really sorry and he should understand.just be nice to him and let him know you 2 are still good friends.hope i helped!! ♥
