I've got scars on my face. Acne scars. How do I get rid of them? Do I use lemon juice? How long will it take?

Sunlight/beds helps acne scars (ALWAYS protect yourself if you decide to do this) and there are many products on the market today ranging from washes to creams etc.
Have a look around, go to your chemist and ask which would be best for you.
I would recommend bio oil if you can find it where you are. It's money well spent as it's been proved to work. and I will be purchasing some shortly for a scar on my arm. :)
However, if no products work for you and it's getting in the way of your every day life (eg, making you depressed/lowering your confidence) it might be useful to find out about chemical peels, laser treatments etc. However, only do
this if it's extremely necessarry.
Visiting a homeopathic clinic is worth it, because if none of the creams etc work for you, homeopathy treatment can help them heal naturally. Ask your doctor about it.
Hope I've helped. If you need any more information, I'll do my best to help you. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]

Lemon Juice is more a toner (After you cleanse your face to wipe off any extra dirt) I don't have anything in my records that it gets rid of scars. [ Nobodys_Girl's advice column | Ask Nobodys_Girl A Question ]
sizzlinmandolin answered Tuesday September 5 2006, 12:16 pm: There's probably a bunch of different products and it depends on the person which one will work for them. My advice to you is to see a Dermatologist. Dermatologists are skin doctors. I saw one once and he knew exactly what I needed. It took like 5 minutes and all he did was ask a few questions. A Dermatologist can actually perscribe something to you that's not available over the counter too. Perscription drugs will, in all likelihood, work a lot better than any home remedies or over the counter medications that you can get.
TEENAGExHEARTS answered Tuesday September 5 2006, 11:21 am: i know that many brands actually make products to help get rid of acne scars. these products can be found in most drug stores.
i'm not sure about lemon juice. lemon juice is good to remove a zit, but i'm not sure about scarring. all lemon juice does is dry up your skin, and that won't get rid of scarring. [ TEENAGExHEARTS's advice column | Ask TEENAGExHEARTS A Question ]
