adviice_whore answered Sunday September 3 2006, 1:33 pm: I've been seeing those Vans that have a checkered pattern and I see them everywhere. I guess you could say they are "in" but I don't like them at all. Basically any kind of flats are in style. You shouldn't just wear what everyone else wears, be the original one and stand out and where what you like not what the crowd likes. What's in and whats out changes really fast and its hard to keep track so your better off with wearing the shoes and clothes that you like. LM answered Sunday September 3 2006, 12:17 pm: It changes all the time!!! Although a lot of people like slip-on Vans nowadays.
Wear whatever kind of shoe you want. People shouldn't judge you by what kind of shoe you wear. Buy whatever kind of shoe you like, no matter what Vogue "tells you that you must have" for this season's look.
EDIT: Alright, why does this answer get me a TWO? Would you rather me say that if you don't wear slip on Vans or Converses, you'll be shunned by your friends and become a social reject? Because apparently, that's what people are making this out to be. Whatever. They're SNEAKERS!! =] [ LM's advice column | Ask LM A Question ]
