People tell me all the time that they're jealous of me having so many friends, but the thing is, its sucks cause I don't have a few CLOSE friends that I can trust.

But here you go:
-Be outgoing, talk to anyone and everyone.
-Don't worry about sterotypes, just talk, smile, laugh.
-Don't be afraid to say something funny, but don't over do it either.
-If someone says something nasty about you, brush it off, don't let it get to you.
-Be confident, smile, let people know you're happy with who you are, what your wearing, and what you say.
-Don't share your problems with everyone (complaining)
-Keep people secrets, resist the urge to blab.
-Complement people often, but be sincere when you do.
-Don't lie to fit in, either.

As for your style, this is what I do.

For a while I was stuck in the HCO, and A&F phase, labels were everything. I just looked like a wannabee so heres how I deal now:

I take shirts, tops, acessories, pants, skirts, etc. that I buy from stores like JCPenny's, Khols, and Target, and add flare to them by adding in a select piece from a more designer, expensive store.

Also, stores like Ross, TJMaxx, and Marshalls have super cute HIGH FASHION (major designers) stuff for amazingly cheap. I get Ralph Lauren Polos there and American Rag jeans for under $20 all the time, I love those places.

Be creative with your style, everything doesn't HAVE to match perfectly, just coordinate with each other. But don't put stripes, smiley faces, and polka dots all in one, thats just tacky.

Be confident in what you wear, labels aren't everything. Make sure each piece you select compliments your body in a positive way, don't just purchase the item for it's label.

Stay confident and have fun! :)

well i can understand you when you say uve lost urself most teenagers are lost and dont completley understand themseleves...ok first personality......dont be afraid to talk to new people and watever you do dont make eneimies...just be chill with everyone...keep a positve attitude because people really like that and get involved with your school activities...join clunbs sports etc..but at the same time dont be afraid to be urself thats just stupid trying to change who you are to fit in..im sure ur a beautiful person and if people are mean to you..you dont need them life is too short to care about what people think of you...just step out of your comfort zone a little and talk to new people dont be shy...

ok style....i dont kno what your current style is but you dont want to make a drastic change fast because unfortunatley people like to gossip and cause drama like for ex if you are goth and go preppy or watever people might say something.....so i would gradually change your style.....some very fashionable cheap stores that i love are forever 21 and h&m...or i love abercrombie and fitch and hollister, urban outfitters..if you are looking for a more electric style i would suggest urban outfitters or forever 21 if more preppy/casual abercrombie or hollister..u may also love to wear some makeup play around with you hair cut/color...btw i wore this too school and it attracted alot of good attention try skinny jeans with some flats or if your like me some 1 inch heel pumps or higher..and layer its totally in..but most impotantly walk into school with confidence in this if you are shy it is not good walk into school with the attitud this is the new hot me...people will surely respond
good luck

To meet new people, compliment them and start talking to them in a simple conversation. Smile and really listen to what they are saying. Its polite to lean your head forward with your ear, that usually means "yeah, i'm listening to every detail." Nod occasionally and say things like "yeah, thats true." As for the mix and match stores... maybe go to store that you have style in and that are in commen with each other. For example Forever 21 and Wet Seal have some clothes in commen. Or Abercrombie & Fitch with American Eagle.

I hope I helped!
