katie_knows_all481 answered Wednesday August 23 2006, 4:22 pm: For breakfast:
Frosted (or they even have non frosted, i think) mini wheats have lots of fiber. Look on the nutritional information on breakfast products for the amount of whole grain (general mills cereals are now made with whole grain, as a tip) and sugar, and fiber. Cheerios for example: Low to no sugar, depeding on the kind (plain has none, and they are my fave)
For other meals:
You can get the powdered fiber (I think one kind is called Fiber sure) that you put in with your cooking...or water, or whatever drink you have, and its tasteless.
Those are easy ways to get more fiber in, especially the second way! Even if you don't get cereal high in fiber....if you get the powder stuff you can probably add it into the milk on your cereal!!!
Also, a lot of fruits have a lot of fiber.i think apples do....have to do some research on that!!! [ katie_knows_all481's advice column | Ask katie_knows_all481 A Question ]

Moop answered Wednesday August 23 2006, 12:14 pm: beans. brown rice. whole grain, low sugar cereals.
if you're young, you should have no trouble with one fiber-heavy meal and low meat in all of the rest. beans are a great way to do this if they're not refried in oil or baked with bits of pork. hi, america, those aren't the only way to eat beans. as for your body "not being able to digest them" that doesn't make sense. if you couldn't digest beans you wouldn't be able to digest anything. beans are possibly the easiest foods to digest. you were probably sick that day.
