To improve your splits do lunges for 30 seconds each day.It only took me one week on how to learn the splits. Also try to strecth your arms and legs.

ok so i'm like really really flexible and i can do both but here's wat i do

spread legs apart(farther than shoulder width)squat till it's like yer siting in a chair with yer legs bent then put yer elbows on both legs and push yer legs farther out this stretches yer groin (20 sec)

then stand up put chest out and but out keep legs straight and you should be able to feel the burn (15 sec)

now go down to a very easy split and hold for 10 sec then next go down farther and hold repeat this step untill in the splits completly

hold yer splits for 2 min a day to improve them

I Have been Cheering for 4 years.

1.) when you start cheering they will stretch you out for you so dont worry.

2.) Back bends follow your hands back

3.) try to go down farther each day for a split!

Ok ive never done cheering before but i did do ballet once. To make our splits better, you lay on the floor, slide your butt up to a wall so your torso is laying on the floor and your feet are against the wall then slowly let your legs split apart and let them hang as far as they can go. Do this a lot and you will be able to do a split in no time. And for backbends, start by going back and instead of touching the floor, try something higher, like a bed, table, or chair then progressively go lower. Good luck! <3 Kristi
