How long?

Question Posted Saturday August 12 2006, 9:55 pm

I was wondering how long it takes for marijuana to get out of your system. I didn't do it!, but someone I know did. And I am concerned about them. My school does random drug tests too by taking a little tiny piece of your hair. So does anyone know how long? Please actual facts not just guesses. Thanks!

ha, you can always cut your hair extremely short. or borrow someone else's because 6 months to a year can be detected through your hair. tell them to eat food with a lot of protein (it'll make their hair grow faster) and get it cut as short as possible and hope for some luck.

A urine test takes anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks to get out of your system and a blood test takes 28 days.

A standard hair screen detects cocaine, marijuana, opiates, methamphetamines, and phencyclidines. Every 0.5 inches of hair detects drug use for a period of 30 days. Usually, a standard hair drug screen uses a hair sample of 1.5 inches, which covers a period of about 90 days.

Though blood tests are also available, they are very expensive and require more laboratory equipment. Thus, serum drug tests are rarely administered. ♥

hair is harder to get out... like 6 months. blood/urine can be out in 2 weeks if its a one time thing and they drink tons of water. <3

I have a friend that did marijuana a couple of times, and he told me that it really depends on the person, but if your your friend is a regular user it could take from up to 3-57 days to clear out of his/her urine whereas it would only take up to 36 hours to clear out of his/her blood. There is a good chance that your friend could be detected, but drinking plenty of fluids and doing lots of exercise can speed up the process a little. You should also tell your frined to stay away from marijuana and other drugs. Hope that helped some.

Well, a urine test can detect it for 7 days, blood test- 28 days, hair follicle test approx. 6 months. Depending on when your friend did it--probably within the last 6 months--he/she has a good chance of it being detected. Tell him/her to stay away from the drugs. :)
