Secondly, there is no reason you should have to enter your email address to trackzor! Third, just because they tell you to not provide the same password as your myspace doesn't mean that it is secure. What if you enter the password you use to access your email; then they can access your email account (people are stupid and sometimes use the same password for their aim, email etc..). I'd be very careful about giving them my email address, there is no reason they should need any information other than your myspace ID and/or URL. [ jonnyg's advice column | Ask jonnyg A Question ]

orphans answered Friday August 4 2006, 10:06 pm: Trackzor is actually NOT fake. It really works. I had it for a while but got rid of it because I think trackers are pointless. It only tracks other people that have trackzor. So if someone that doesn't have it comes to your page, they will show up as *unknown*. And no, trackers are not illegal. If they were, xanga wouldn't have had one.
The reason this one is allowed and doesn't interfere with Tom's reasons for not allowing trackers is because if you don't want to be tracked, then just don't sign up. There's also a privacy setting on trackzor where you can *hide* yourself and not be tracked by others but you can still track them.
The thing about them stealing log in info actually is true because you have to use the same e-mail. But trackzor tells you to use a different password than your myspace one so that doesn't happen. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
DancinCutie08 answered Friday August 4 2006, 10:01 pm: all trackers on myspace are fake and are acually illegal
thelaura answered Friday August 4 2006, 9:14 pm: Myspace trackers shouldn't be trusted. and yes, 99% are fake.
Apparently, one worked ages ago. But because it's against Myspace rules and took away the fun of being anonymous, it no longer worked.
Myspace trackers, according to Tom, should not be used, because they can steal your log in information. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
