I'm 15 and I'm completley new to makeup. Shocking, right? I don't really need it all that much but I kind of wanted to step up my look a little bit. Can somebody help me with colors to choose or something?
Hair color: Light Brown
Eye Color: Green Blue (hazel)
Skin Color: Light with a few freckles
leighaXcore answered Thursday August 3 2006, 8:26 pm: some light purple eyeshadow or shimmer would look nice with your hair color. i wouldnt suggest blush unless it was put on veryyyy lightly. i also wouldnt use any eye popping lip colors... a subtle pink should work. oh an duhm, brown mascara instead of black.
courtxrawr answered Thursday August 3 2006, 7:57 pm: Gurl. You remind me of myself. I have light brown hair with green & blue eyes and im light colored with freckles on my cheeks.
My favorite makeup brand is Wet nd Wild.
I absoutely love it.
So I suggest you start out with that brand.
First of all.
Buy the following products from Wet nd Wild:
-eyeliner
-mascara
-blush
-makeup brushes
-eyeliner sharpener
-eye shadow
-eye brow brush
-lip gloss
Get black eyeliner & mascara. [dont get the liquid kind]
Blush that goes good with your skin tone [light red i would suggest]
For eye shadow, I would suggest light brown colors [which are natural colors]. I also like to put glitter as eye shadow also. I would recommend [duff stuff by hilary duff] if you would like to use the glitter as eyeshadow.
Lip Gloss. I had experiences with this. Don't use light colors. Use like a darker shade of pink..but not light pink.
Now when you put this all on.
Don't put it on dark.
AskAndy answered Thursday August 3 2006, 7:54 pm: i dont think the freckles matter because they wouldnt make a diference, but myjellybean.com has a great makeup generator. then there are some places like sephora and makeup racks at malls where they will do your makeup and tell you some nice things you can buy. I have the exact same qualities,i go light on the make up!! Ok start with the eyes where mascara -- not the kind that make your eyelashes longer , it will make your eyes seem really weird!! No eyeliner if your trying to look subtle-- remember your trying to look natural!! Then for the eye shadow i would go for a lavender color or a kinda light pink. For kinda of a more mature look go for the smokey eye(bronze/tan/grey/pink mixed kinda)? Add a little blush and you will look fine!! A little tip for your hair part it to the side your eyes will look cool with the hair out of em!! This also makes it look mature. Good luck with this!! i dont really like girls like our age to wear like lipstick or even lipgloss. it looks sorta trashy to me and it looks like your trying too hard [but thats just my opinion]
so i play up my eyes. brunettes with blue in their eyes looks gorgeous. its sorta rare so when people see people like us thats one thing that theyre drawn too.
so play up that blue. NOT extreme though. the thing to makeup is to make it look natural. in the corner of your eyes start with a dark brown with a shimmer in it. then fade into a LIGHT blue. then into a gold... all of this is LIGHT. the colors are bold but the amount you put on needs to be ligght.
dont wear foundation or powder unless you have a blemish.. but even then only wear it on the breakout.. not the WHOLE face ... you start to loolk like a fake plastic barbie at that point.. ha.
like isaid earlier.. dont wear lipstick of lipgloss.. chapstick looks the best ad most natural.
eyeliner underneath the eye is soo last year. if you wish to use some then use a brown, and use it on TOP o your eye. it'll look nice;;not trashy. if you choose to wear mascara use a dark brown.. and only on the top lashes because if you put it on the bottom.. its not only a fashion no no but it also starts looking liek bad by the end of the day because it runs.
hottie411 answered Thursday August 3 2006, 6:48 pm: well first you can start out with eye liner and mascara.
of course for mascara, just wear black, and pick out a waterproof mascar. if you want your eyelashes to be long, buy lengthening mascar. if you want your eyelashes to be curled, curl them, and then buy curling mascara. if you just want to add volume to your eyelashes, then buy volume mascara.
for eyeliner, go to a makeup store and try on a color that you like and think will go best with your skin color, and then if it's good, then buy it, and if it's not, use makeup remover and then try on a different color. i don't really know exactly how you look, but i think dark blue eyeliner is your color. then put it right where your eyelashes are on the top of your eye lid, and the same with your bottom eye lid, except for on your bottom eye lid, you start on the side where your ear is, and then go until about you've done 1/2 to 3/4 of your eye lid, then stop, so you don't put it on your whole bottom eye lid.
and no offense or anything, but i think people look way better without eyeshadow, unless they use like brownish peachish, because it blends in with their skin color.
saleeha answered Thursday August 3 2006, 6:40 pm: well my suggestion is to go to a salon and ask them. or maybe get a few makeovers and see which one suits you best. [ saleeha's advice column | Ask saleeha A Question ]
