Question Posted Tuesday August 1 2006, 9:26 pm

Ever since summer started, it seems that all i do is sit around all day. I always call my friends, and ask if they want to hang out, but there always busy. I know for a fact, that some of my friends parents, do not like me, but its not fair that they keep my best friends from seeing me.
For instance, everytime i call my friend kirstie, she's always busy. I'll ask if she wants to hang out, but she says, "oh, my parents are already doing stuff with me today" or, "I already promised my mom i would hang out with her." And, she's always complaing about this girl, that is kinda...the emo one in our group, but it seems like she hangs out with her more than me. It really hurts, because she always says were best friends, but arn't best friends supossed to hang out?

I just really want to know, if maybe i should try to push more to hang out, or give up, or...i dont know, it just stinks cause i'm always alone.

Please help!

Ps. sorry its so long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

~Melissa~

the same exact thing happend with me.
wow thats weird.
like when i call my supposibly bestfreind (her parents dont like me)shes always like..
i primised my dad i would hangout with him..
all though i call her later and shes at her other freinds house..
i found new freinds
and a new bestfreind.

i would get myspace then find a new one who lives in your area.
or just forget her and make her come to you
then next time she does
say
no i have to hangout with my mom
and see how she feels
and while your waiting
find new freinds.
go to youth group or something.

Well,I understand it hurts.Maybe try to talk to her and tell her how you feel.Maybe you can compramise.Make dates of what your doing and tell her not to break them.Maybe try out for a team or join a club so you can spend more time together.

And it's not fair that you can't see her.Why don't you talk to the parents about it and tell them you really want to be there childs friend. If all else fails have your parents talk to them.

Don't yell at them.It will make it worse.Just state your opinion and then listen to theres. It will help more then yelling.

Hope it all works out

Don't worry, if your friends are too busy then go out and meet some new people!! The more people you know the more people you hang out with!! I suggest going to ball games, movies, church, parks, malls, anywhere there are people!! Just go out there and have fun! Good luck!! Much love && sunshine!
