It is safe to use regular soap, yes. But you have to make sure you rinse really well, because if you don't you will experience a burning sensation. It's really not safe to use douches everyday, because it gets rid of all of your natural cleaning lubrications. You're actually only supposed to use them after sexual intercourse and if you are ummm, really dirty down there. Lol.

Most doctors say that it is best to let your vagina clean itself. The vagina cleans itself naturally by producing mucous. Women do not need to douche to wash away blood, semen, or vaginal discharge. The vagina gets rid of it alone. Also, it is important to note that even healthy, clean vaginas may have a mild odor.

Regular washing with warm water and mild soap during baths and showers will keep the outside of the vagina clean and healthy.

Eustachius is absolutley right.

I just want add that you shouldn't worry about not having douche. As a matter of fact it isn't really recommended that you use it that much. Not really good for you. :)

I know I'm a guy, but I've gone over this in Nursing class.

Regular soap is fine. Use a washcloth and warm water along with the soap, as that will be more comfortable. Remember to clean from the FRONT TO THE BACK. If you do it the other way, there's a chance of bateria spreading into places that you don't want it to. Rinse the soap out with water from the bath or with another wet cloth (no soap) using the same motion as before (front to back).

Hope that helped! I know it's kind of odd that I'm a guy and know this, but hey. =P

yes it's fine
just don't do it that much
you need a balance of bacteria and cleanliness
or else you'll get a yeast infection.

You can use regular soap, just make sure that you rinse it off properly or it will lead to problems.
