is it true

Question Posted Tuesday August 1 2006, 3:50 pm

Is it true if you add celery or aspargus to your diet, you will loose weight? They say it does because it takes more calories to digest the celery than to eat it. Only answer if you know for sure, please.

I don't know about asparagus but celery has negative calories. That means you burn more calories eating it than it holds. However, you would get pretty bored of just eating celery all the time.
Hope that helps.

My Aunt and Uncle are doctors, and I asked them and they said it does help you lose fat. My aunt says that if you go on a celery and aspargus diet you will lose fat but if you eat celery along with other foods, it wont change anything.
I hope I helped!
