how long should it take?

Question Posted Saturday July 29 2006, 8:19 pm

I tried to dye it back to my natural hair color and the people who did it made it red and it was supposed to be brown. How long will it take for my all of my hair to grow back with my normal color?

Hey. Chances are its going to take a while. I'd reccomend getting it re dyed to your natural color because once your hair grows out half is going to be red and half brown. If you re dye it your natural color it will match once your hair grows out. Good luck ♥

It really depends on what type of hair you have and how long it takes your hair to grow. Usually hair growns anywheres between 1-2 inches per month. So, depending on how long you hair is, it'll take awhile for all the dye to grow out.

I suggest actually dying your hair again. Try to get the dye close to your natural hair color. That way when it does grow in, you won't be able to see your roots. ♥

AHH omg that happened to me EXACTLY! hair grows about 1 inch a month (or about 10-12 inches a year) so depending on how long you want it, it could take a year to grow out.

if i were you, i would go to a really nice salon after about a MONTH, because htat gives your hair some time to get used to how it is red now.

It really depends on the type of dye used.

Semi-or demi- permanent color will fade over your whole head gradually.

Use regular shampoo and wash your hair frequently and no matter the type of dye it will fade.

Permanent dye means that it won't fade. Wait about a montha and a half and try redying it.

Good luck!!

It depends on how fast your hair grows but it'll take a long ass time. It's been a year since my mom dyed her hair and she still has about 2.5 inches left of the old color.

If you don't want to wait that long wait 6 weeks and try to dye it brown again. Usually, the first time you try to dye your hair a certain color, it doesn't come out the way you want.
