14/f. i really don't want to come off as full of myself or anything because i'm definitaly not. but i've kinda started to notice that a lot of guys stare at me (in a good way lol), or check me out. like at the beach two REALLY hot guys were checking me out (and its not like i have a really good body or anything like that). even my parents noticed them checking me out. and i've been noticing this going on a lot lately. but the problem is that nobody even notices me like that at school. i think it is because i'm shy.
so my question is...do you think that the guys at my school don't notice me like the other guys do because they actually know my personality and they know that i'm shy? if so, what can i do to get them to notice me like other guys do?

A lot of people think I'm pretty at school, and I have a good body its just they are intimidated by me because I'm smart and shy and quiet. Guys don't like quiet and shy girls though. They like girls that are funny, smart, pretty, outgoing, somewhat loud, and definately NOT shy. Guys want to be able to have a full conversation with a girl where she can look them in the eyes and not be afraid to be herself. If you think your appearance is fine, than just work on being more outgoing.
StarryNightSkies answered Saturday July 29 2006, 8:25 pm: Yeah i think that could be a deffinate possibility. don't be so shy... be crazy because 10 years from now when your on your own the time that really matters you wont even know these people anymore [ StarryNightSkies's advice column | Ask StarryNightSkies A Question ]

The guys on the inside probably notice you as well but people are different in and out of school. If you want them to notice you, talk to them. And there is nothing wrong with being shy. Laf16 answered Saturday July 29 2006, 4:39 pm: hmm i dont think its because of your personality.. i think its just because they have known you for sooo long..... but when you do get one... all the other guys will wake up and probably get really jealous. then they willll definatly notice you (happened to me).... well how shy are we talking?... maybe try to be a little more outgoing or flirt more [ Laf16's advice column | Ask Laf16 A Question ]
MARISSAX33 answered Saturday July 29 2006, 4:11 pm: hey the guys at the beach had to have a reason for checking you out. Give yourself more credit. You have to be pretty :) You don't really sound full of yourself believe me i know this girl (she's my friend) and she's totally full of herself. Even when guys AREN'T staring at her she says they are and shes always complimenting herself. It's actually really scary. But maybe the guys at school think you're really pretty but maybe they are intimidated to go up to you and talk or flirt. Have you ever been mean to a guy before? Or blew him off? Guys watch for those things when they have a crush on somebody and if the girl blows a guy off the guy gets too scared to go up to the girl. So what do you have to lose if you go up to somebody at your school and talk? Maybe more guys will start coming up to you and talking/flirting! I love the quote - "Why go through life unnoticed." I use it a lot (maybe even on here Lol). But it's definetly true you should live everyday like it's your last and you should'nt regret not doing something that you could have done!
Well hope i helped. If you have any other questions visit my column :)
