Does anyone have/play The Sims 2 University?

If you do, can it work on any type of computer? I know that on the boxes they have computer requirements, but someone said on a website that his computer doesn't pass some of the requirements and it works great. I really want to buy this game, but I don't want to waste the money if it's not going to work. Thanks = ]
