Oral Surgery

Question Posted Thursday July 27 2006, 8:10 pm

Ok well I'm getting 2 teeth pulled out tomorrow, because they grew in sideways. And it's not like a normal dentist visit, it's kinda a surgery. So they said I had to drink CLEAR LIQUIDS only the whole day. (Clear- not meaning see-through, but like no milk, kinda like a watery substance) All I can think of is Koolaid & Tea.... Can someone else help me think of something? (I need to know tonight, because I am getting the surgery done tomorrow at 6:00 AM)

I've had to do this many times. Try chicken broth, yellow colored jello, yellow colored popsicles, yellow colored italian ices or snowballs, clear juices and sodas. Yellow is the best but the rule is no red or purple or blue food colorings.

Umm how about like apple juice or flavored water?
Or maybe try some gatorade and/or powerade! (:

Moop answered Thursday July 27 2006, 10:14 pm:
gatorade, lemonade, basically anything-ade. different oral surgeons have different policies about what you can and cannot drink before getting surgery. when I had four teeth removed last december I could eat up to ten hours before. I had my surgery at 10 AM which wasn't a big deal for me. I don't like eating really early in the morning and I had late dinner so that I would sleep in. having dental surgery is not really a big deal. you'll bleed the next day for a while. probably sleep. your cheeks could become bruised/yellowed like mine were. but it's fine in a week.

Hm.. broth from like chicken noodle soup or something? That's really good for you. uhm.. what else...what about the HI-C juicce boxes? I would have made my answer sound more professional, but it looks like your in a hurry. (Good Luck with the operation!)
