BMXPoet answered Wednesday July 26 2006, 4:34 am: If your computer is a pc, then you should look for windows media player (the icon should be a play button with green, yellow, red, and blue sections around it) open that up and select rip from device(what the actual buttons for it are may change depending on what version you have), once youve done that you should have the songs on your computer, now just use itunes to scan your computer for the music. by the way you can also put music ONTO the ipod from windows media player by dragging the music and dropping it onto the device (ipod) [ BMXPoet's advice column | Ask BMXPoet A Question ]

Plug in your iPod.
Go to Control Pannel.
Click on Appearence and Themes.
Click on Folder Options.
Scroll down and click on the button that says 'view hidden files'.
Go to My Computer.
Open your iPod hard drive.
Open the transparent folder labled Music.
Copy and paste that folder onto the laptop under My Documents.
Depending on how much music you have, it will take a bit. The easiest and most secure way of doing it. Once the music is onto your laptop, they will be in 50 individual folders F00 - F49. Open each folder, highlight all and press open or drag into iTunes to play the songs. If done correctly it should work. Thats it. No program downloading, no google, no buying anything. Hope that helped and good luck. [ HectorJr's advice column | Ask HectorJr A Question ]
cathockey38 answered Tuesday July 25 2006, 6:08 pm: hey.
if you go to mytunesredux.com, there is a downloadable program. It lets you take your music on itunes and transfer it to your new computer. I'm not exactly sure how to do it... my boyfriend did it for me. But when it is downloaded *you need it on your old computer and laptop*
and then in itunes, under edit, go to prefrences *bottom one* and then click on share. "Share entire library" is the best one.
If that worked, then on the itunes on your
laptop, it should say AMD playlist or something. That is a good sign! If that didn't work.... try again? haha, i dont really know!
Then find mytunes redux in start... its there somewhere. And then when you open it, all your songs *cept the ones you bought* will show up on a list. Highlight all songs and hit enter. And it will transfer them to your other computer.
I know its not the same as your ipod, but its good cuz then you can have all songs on both computers. And if you have a library filled with songs that you bought, thats a problem!!
If that doesn't work, you can go to cdburner.com
it lets you put like 200 songs on a cd. I dont know how it sounds, but you download it and i guess that is it.
Moop answered Tuesday July 25 2006, 6:01 pm: if you're transferring from a mac to another mac you can download senuti and use it. if you're going from PC to PC, search for programs like senuti using google. I've personally never had experience with any of them being a mac girl, but I'm sure they exist. () if you're going from one platform to another then you enable your iPod for disc use. the instructions for that are on the apple website. [ Moop's advice column | Ask Moop A Question ]
