Hey,
I'm gunna be a freshman next year, and I need some ideas about what to wear on the first day of school. I guess I wear"preppy" clothes like American Eagle and Abercrombie. But it really doesnt matter to me. But, I'm open for any kind of clothes, and any kind of suggestions. You dont have to give me brands or anything. General would work too. For example"long sleeve shirt and a skirt" or whatever. Thanks sooo much. xoxo

-Ruffley skirt, fancy shirt, sparkley shoes, cute ring, big earrings, cute necklace, and fancy hair up-do.
-Black and white striped shirt, black leggings, cute skirt, ring, retro round black earrings, necklace with black and silver ball pattern, curly hair, and black flip-flop's or dress shoes.
DancinCutie08 answered Saturday July 22 2006, 12:32 pm: I would recommend wearing either long sleeve shirt and a skirt or a short sleeve shirt and jeans
my reasoning-
on the first day of school its always cold and the last thing you want to be worring about is how you feel when you adjusting to new classes and i am guesing a new school.
like last year all of these girls wore mini shirts and short sleeves on the first day and looked so uncomfortable but i just saved my mini skirt for the second day.
here are some outfits i found online that would be cute:
SHELBYcrunkpants answered Saturday July 22 2006, 4:44 am: I would try to wear something creative and different but still stylish and trendy. Try something you have never tried before so you can come back to the school year with a whole new look. One of my favorite stores is Charlotte Russe. Try this outfit.
Face print top - $14.99
Dark wash denim mini - $24.99
Nylon opaque footless tights - $5.99
Circle hoop earrings - $4.99
Sneaker with checkerboard print - $18.99
All found at Charlotte Russe or you can find it on their website.
Have fun and be creative! [ SHELBYcrunkpants's advice column | Ask SHELBYcrunkpants A Question ]

Not to mention, it's not fun looking like everyone else. Try finding tops & bottoms places where other people won't have. A place such as Forever 21 is very affordable & has a wide variety of different things you can put together for whatever your style is. Thrift stores are another option as well. Most of their clothes aren't exactly the greatest, but if you have the patience & search through everything.. you'll come out with a couple-few tops. Maybe even more if you like the look of vintage. Back to your question - go for clothes that are still fun, but classy:
With the right top (preferably something a little long, but not too long) & some flats.. it'd look really cute.
As far as tops go - go for the type that aren't tight & are longer. I suggest going to forever21.com for some ideas. Those bottoms above might not be your style, but I know you can find whatever you're looking for at that store. Even if it's a denim skirt & a basic or logo tee.

Besides, to be honest with you, no one notices your clothes on the first day of school cause they're busy freaking out about classes and stuff. Actually, nobody in high school ever notices your clothes. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
chly1chly answered Saturday July 22 2006, 12:32 am: I am planning on wearing a plaid skirt and a casual short-sleeved top on the first day with a corresponding headband (because they are SO in right now). An outfit along those lines will look stylish but not like you are trying to hard.
Hope I helped [ chly1chly's advice column | Ask chly1chly A Question ]
