I have that problem it is a sleep disorder. I have to take meds for it so I'd go to a doctor.

you could have rls. you could ask a doctor about it. they could give you that medicine that you see on tv. but on that comercial, it says that you could get tired during your normal activites so you should take it before you go to bed beause it works fast. also it could be your matress. you should go to a local matress shore and see if that could be the problem. if your matress is new, i probably is rsl or you are not used to sleeping on that matress. i hope i helped.

i don't know if i can help you, but i am having sleeping problems too. but i have nights just like yours. im always tossing and turning at night and i have that leg cover problem.. it helps me sometimes to keep one leg covered and one out. and it's been really hard for me to sleep. sometimes i take sleeping pills, sometimes i stay up so late until i'm actually very tired. sometimes i go out and do something like playing soccer, so when i go to bed i fall asleep right away. also it might help if you have longer days. i sleep a little better sice i gotten a waterbed, because they're heated.well i hope any of those ideas helps, sometimes its just hard to sleep when something big has happened in your life that has made a big change. well if you do have rls... you probaly cant sit still during a movie or just sitting still.. if you have that you probaly should see a doctor.. well good luck

I have had a look at the following website regarding Restless Leg Syndrome:

To be honest, it doesn't sound as though you have regless leg syndrome. However, it does sound as though you might just be plain restless. I have to admit, I have the same problem. As soon as I lie down to go to sleep, EVERYTHING bugs me!! My pillows don't feel right, I'm too hot, too cold, I hear every damn sound around, why am I breathing funny?! Things like that.

I highly suspect that rather than being any sort of condition, your body is so alert when you go to bed that your brain can't switch off properly to let you sleep. You could try reading a book for 10 minutes before you go to sleep, as they say that watching TV or being on the computer can be too stimulating to allow the body to fall asleep straight away.

If you still have the same problem after trying this, you could speak to your doctor and see if they can recommend something to help you get to sleep. I would also recommend you take a look at:

It provides a lot of useful tips to help you sleep. In addition to this, try getting some lavender essential oil or special lavender pillow spray. Lavender helps the body to relax and is commonly used to treat insomnia.

I would also like to add that the person before me who said you have OCD is completely incorrect. Your symptoms in no way suggest you have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which consists mainly of repetitive compulsive actions.

Does sound like RLS to me. But, are you that type of person during the day? Do you care a whole lot about the teeniest details? If so, you might have OCD, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. No, having OCD does not mean you're crazy, I know people with real OCD and they're nothing like how OCD is described on the television and in books. If you have any questions about it just ask. :)
