shaving down there

Question Posted Tuesday July 18 2006, 2:20 am

okay, i know this question is asked a lot and people always say to shave in the direction the hair grows. well i do. but it doesnt get all the hair. and so when i switch directions i obviosly get the red bumps and it bleeds a little. i want to use a good cream amd i heard that noxzema is really good. any tips would be great because i've never had a successful shave without any bumps or a little blood.

I get bumps and a little blood also sometimes. I have discoverd that if I shave in the direction it grows, then from the left to the right, right to the left, and then shave up it doesn't bleed and you don't get the red bumps as much in my personal experience. I've never used noxzema, but the shaving cream Satin Care (in coconut) works really well, and it smells good to ;)

If you trim the hair first, you will less likely have irritation. Use an aloe based shaving cream. Shave UP..towards your belly button. When shaving your bikini line, shave out..towards the legs. Your razor should follow the direction of the legs.

A large problem of the irritation could be the razor. I would recommend a Venus. They're very good razors.

Also, as soon as you're finished shaving, dry off the area and apply lotion. Lotion every day!

If you follow those steps, you should have no skin irritation.

when you shave down there, make sure your in the shower. then before your shaving, put soap on it (unsecented, for no irritation) and then shave gently (dont expect to have it completely hairless..yet) then put on more soap, and shave that strip again, and keep on doing it, until its hairless (and to finish it, put soap on it again)

Well..
First of all , you have to warm u p really well, another word, stay in the heated shower for a while before you shave. This way you let the pores to open up, to avoid the irritation!
Then use only dry raizor, and use the shaving cream for sensitive skin. What I mean is, after you use the raizor, make shure you do not leave it in the shower, just take it out, and make shure it is dry.
it should help!

Good luck,
Tanya
