in my room, my big furniture things are white. like the rails on my bed, my armoire, my dresser, bookshelf, etc. and the walls are blue, so its kinda of pleasant you know? well.. i got this computer desk thats wooden, like dark wood. should i chunk it and wait until i get a new one, or does that kind of sound ok? if you walked into one of your friend's rooms and saw all white then ugly wood, what would you think?
xoIDOLox answered Wednesday July 19 2006, 5:47 pm: I don't think it would look horrible, but I don't think it would lok exactly right either. Maybe you would like to put a white cloth over it, underneath your computer, kind of like a doily but cooler. It would brighten up the desk a bit and you wouldn't have to trash it. Tape pictures to the side. Get a paint brush and paint swirls on it. Have fun with it.
sassysara answered Tuesday July 18 2006, 10:07 am: I had a similar problem when I recieved a kitchen table as a gift that did not match ANYTHING in my house let alone in my kitchen! What I did is go to Canadian Tire and they sell paints that specifically work on wood, because wood absorbs, and painted it a color to match my house. It was easy and I got to customize it so it was unique. You can buy stensils to make cool accents on it as well. It saved me hundreds of dollars in not having to buy a new table!!
orphans answered Tuesday July 18 2006, 5:02 am: I honestly dont think it would look so great but it sounds kind of handy so i'd keep it. plus i wouldnt worry what my freinds thought about my furniture [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
