my friend went to the public pool today
and while she was swimming her purse got stolen
it had her makeup, notes, and her house key.
what should she do since it has her house key
and if they know where she lives they could get it!!
help!
ilovehimxox answered Tuesday July 18 2006, 1:24 pm: what i think the best thing to do is get her lock changed to her house cause honestly i doubt the police can do anything about it. & next time you go to a public pool make sure you get a locker or go with someone else that doesnt go swimming & have them watch it.

lookitslorin answered Tuesday July 18 2006, 12:35 am: Ok, unless the person that stole her purse KNOWS her & where she lives, they would have to check every single house in your community/town. I wouldnt worrie too much about it. All make-up and such is replace-able, and as for the notes, unless they have some totally significant meaning, why keep them in her purse to start out with? Hope I helped :] [ lookitslorin's advice column | Ask lookitslorin A Question ]

Im going to be honest with you..i dont think the police will be able to do anything about it. there is no way the person could be tracked..and think about how many people were at the pool..its impossible to catch the person.the best thing your friend can do is to tell her parents and get them to change the lock on the door. Its unlikely the person knows who your friend is and where she lives..but just in case it is a good idea to change the locks. the world is a messed up place so from now on you and your friends should definately get a locker, keep things in the car or with an adult or non swimmer, or just bring the basics to the pool like a beach towel. Im assuming nobody would steal a beach towel but i guess you never know in the world we live in. well tell your friend im very sorry and its a good thing she didnt have a large amount of money in there!

missmad127 answered Tuesday July 18 2006, 12:09 am: since her house key was in her purse, she should definitely get the locks changed the person may not even know where she lives, but they could find out if they tried hard enough. She should definitely change her locks to be on the safe side.
Hope it helps

Make sure she comes up with a time period of when it might have gotten stolen and then anyone that might have been around then.
