soo i've had my period since the beginning of july and i still have it! this is not the first time. i got it 3 years ago, so it's not like it could still be irregular. i'm scared to go to a gynocologist (sp?) - does any one have any idea whats wrong with me? and waht i could do? thanks so much.

Lucky answered Monday July 17 2006, 2:34 pm: I dont think anything is wrong w/ you. My friend had hers for like 3 weeks! It's just a part of puberty. dont worry. Just lay it out for a while. If it is still going on, go 2 a gyncologist.

As for the length of time you have had your period the only time I have ever heard of this is when a friend of mine had fibroids on her ovaries. These are like small NON cancerous tumours that once you visit the doctor can be dealt with really quickly. If you put it off and they grow eventually they could need surgery. This is worse case scenerio so I don't want to panic you!! Also 5 days is the average period while 2 weeks is long 10 -12 days is average for some women, all women have different length cycles.
