I'm singing Defying Gravity and I'd love some comments/advice on how I did because I'm trying out for a musical soon and whether or not it's that song I need to know what to work on or what my strengths are.

Make it look like your talking to someone and singing TO someone, like a normal conversation. At least that's how they tought us to do it in theater :)
LoveNJstyle answered Monday July 17 2006, 4:51 pm: wellll it needs some work. i think you should be a little bit more motion consious.. some arent really theatrical, more like just talking/conversational. just get more comfortable with it... it will improve it and make it easier to really perform it, know what i mean? you have a voice that's good for theater but really work on your higher notes (i know its hard because its mostly in the lower range) good luck at your audition! <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
