Alli answered Monday July 10 2006, 1:41 pm: You should still be friends with them. It doesn't matter how old they are as long as you guys are friends.

Why do their ages bother you? You say they are good friends, but that's very obviously not true.
My father-in-law taught my husband something that may help you. He said, a friend is someone who is willing to die for you, and whom you are willing to die for. Everybody else is an acquaintance.
If you are not even willing to associate with these people because of their ages, you were definitely never their friend in the first place.
As for what to do about your acquaintances... It would be in their best interest if you went your own way. Someone who is willing to "kick em to the kerb" because their age isn't good enough, isn't someone who has their best interests at heart anyway.
Teza answered Monday July 10 2006, 1:10 pm: Are you seriously asking this question?? If they knew you thought that and if I was them, I wouldn't want be your friend. Do you realize how selfish you're being? You have 2 good friends and just because they're younger doesn't mean you shouldn't be friends with them. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
