Aside from that, I don't support the tanning bed idea at all. It's quick and easy, but to many times results in orangey looking skin and an increased risk of cancer. 15 minutes in a bed can equal about 3 hours in the sun. (You should also know that about 5 sunburns doubles your chances for skin cancer.)
Skin cancer (and cancer in general) is a lot easier to get nowadays. If you don't like the tanning bed idea, I suggest something like Jergen's lotion with the touch of self tanner. It really does work, and nicely. Just make sure you wash your hands afterwards and be careful around drier areas such as knees, elbows, and feet.

thelaura answered Saturday July 8 2006, 4:12 pm: I would say it's best to remove makeup, because you might not see the tan developing underneath. Or it may irritate some sensitive skin. Best to take it off anyway. No harm done. :) [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
