i just got my braces off and i am upset about the results, my teeth are straight but they are yellow,i was wondering what the best whitener would work since i can't afford expensive treatments thanks a bunch! also i am a 13/f
xokristabelle answered Wednesday July 5 2006, 5:22 pm: Crest Whitestrips are easier to use, no gross taste, and compared to treatments you can get at the dentists office, they're really cheap. You can buy them at Walmart, Target ,most drugstores, and drugstore.com . Stay away from whitening toothpastes (don't work and overpriced) and the "paste" or "gel" that you "paint" on your teeth (same thing). [ xokristabelle's advice column | Ask xokristabelle A Question ]
DancinCutie08 answered Wednesday July 5 2006, 3:58 pm: i used crest white strips and they are pretty good
you just have to be careful because all whitening treatments are not recommend for people under 18 unless adviced my a dentist
but i wouldnt worry because your teeth will get better with time. usually then get alot whiter within the first few monthes of getting them off. i would just stick to maybe brushing extra for a couple of weeks before you look into whitening [ DancinCutie08's advice column | Ask DancinCutie08 A Question ]
thelaura answered Wednesday July 5 2006, 3:32 pm: Don't worry, there's bound to be some discoloration. Have a look around at whitening toothpastes and mouthwashes. Be careful as the excessive use of some products can cause damage to the tooth enamel. Is it possible to go to a hygienist? As that would be better than any whitening products out there, by getting them professionally cleaned :) [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
