It's better to lose weight at a slower rate. I'd say even 2 lbs a week would be acceptable. It's important to eat a wide variety of foods with in the food pyramid guidelines.
Some ideas for good diet foods are:
Carrots, celery and other crunchie veggies.
Low fat milk or cottage cheese.
Grapefruit and other citrus fruits.
Lean protien such as sirloin steak.

But you cant expect specific answers,
everyones body is different,
so we wont know when you will see results.
Most likely you wont see results, just losing a couple pounds, but that really doesnt show that much. Now you can just watch what you eat, not like a physco, but you should know whats generally healthy and whats not, eat healthy, and exercise, the best advice anyone can give.
