It depends on how long you have been dating! My friend is very outgoing and bought her bf a boxers from american eagle. Maybe you could buy him a hoody from like abercrombie or american eagle (a popular store). Boxers are fun gift to give, you might even get to see him wear it ;)

It defintely depends on how long you have been dating but f it has been a short time i would not go w/ something mushy because guys dnt like that if you havent known then that long. Try and find out what he is into dont go for something to expensive if you only dated for a short amount of time.

It kind of depends on how long you've been dating, like what is nessesary and what isn't. Talk to him about music he likes (like if he wants a CD or something). Gift cards are always good, like maybe a gift card to a restuarant or a place he loves to go on the weekends. You could ask him over and you could make him his favorite meal and dessert. You could buy him a watch, or a cologne.
And you can always just ask him what he'd like :]

Guys are really practical creatures. I know we say we "love" the symbolic gifts girls give, but its more our fondness for the person (in most cases we dont give a rat's ass about the gift lol).
If you want to get him something he will really like look at his hobbies and interests. If he likes sports you might get him something sports related. If he is the humourous type perhaps a funny book or video. The cd idea below is also good... just make sure its with music he likes, not just random love songs for example. The closer you get to something that he can really use the better it is.
Good luck, and dont stress too much about it. In the end of course he will appreciate the thought.

get creative. make a cd for him. buy a picture frame and put a picture of you two in it. or make a coupon book, like one free kiss, etc. anything.. he'l love it if it comes from you! good luck
