So, a couple times a day, maybe like 5 or 6, I get this thing where it feels like to get a good breath I have to breath really deeply in and out for like 5-10 minutes. It also always feel slike my airway is a little constricted but more so during these "breathing episodes". I went to the doctor yesterday but he said everything was fine but yesterday I didn't have to breath deeply for 5-10 minutes to get a good breath, it was just to feeling of constant constriction. Anyways, the doctor sent me to radiology of the hospital to get x-rays which turned out fine. It's especially hard to sleep at night as well. During these "breathing episodes" I also get really light headed and dizzy. Does anybody have any ideas of what i might have or how to help it or what to do next? Btw, Im 14/f.

I can tell you this which might help. It sounds like during those 5 or 10 minutes you may be hyperventilating. That happens if you breathe real hard and fast. Happens a lot to people who have panic attacks, which you might ask your doctor about.
Anyway, next time you feel light headed and dizzy, get a paper sack and breathe into it for few minutes. Your breathing should return to normal. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

I can't diagnose you, so I have to suggest that you ask your Dr for a referral to a pulmonologist
(a lung Dr.) or an asthma/allergy Dr.
I am in no way suggesting that you have asthma, but from experience I know that if you are not having an attack or an episode nothing will show up on a chest x-ray, and for most people it is worse at night or after exercise. This is why I suggest that you see a specialist because obviously what you are describing is not normal, and if you enjoy dancing you shouldn't have to worry about this happening.
