But people in the 60s used baby oil as sunscreen! not tanning oil. and pretty much everyone in the 60s was tan. does re-applying baby oil regularly help preotect your skin, while still tanning it?

FUN FACT: people in the 30s 40s and 50s used pudding for sunscreen. my great-grandma told me so :P

yeh- because it attracts the sun, and gets absorbed into your skin as the sun hits it- jsut be sure to wear a sunblock underneath.

yes, but it will make you burn if your not careful. laying in the sun for a tan isnt healthy tho.. why not try a spray tan or something

Nooo. It makes you burn like crazy. Try somthing else, like a bronzer or tanning oil with SPF sold at like KRoger, Rite Aid, CVS and or any tanning salon.

hpoe this helps :)

I don't really know by experience but i have heard it does work, but if you use too much or stay in the sun too long it can really burn. Hope I helped a little.

LoveNJstyle answered Tuesday June 20 2006, 11:12 pm:
i usually put it like on my body... not on my face. i used to use it like all the time but even though i tan easily, it would look kinda reddish. use sunscreen... you get a better color that way and it protects your skin. (yes, you will still tan, i promise!) <3

kristen22 answered Tuesday June 20 2006, 10:25 pm:
Putting baby oil on your body before laying out in the sun is like putting butter on the outside of a grilled cheese sandwhich so it grills in a pan.

Basically, by putting baby oil on your body before laying out in the sun, you are quickening the sun's ability to literally fry your body, which speeds up the effects of aging on your skin.

No. It burns your skin instead of tanning it. I suggest using tanning oil, instead.

Hope I helped!

yes, any kind of iol helps you tan, you just have to be careful.

i suggest putting on like 8 or 15 sunblock and then using baby oil, it will protect you from getting burnt, but it well help you tan quicker.
