I learned it for school. My question is, do you think it is a good monologue for an audition? If you don't can you reccomend another one? Thanks. I'll rate high.

I think this is a great monologue, especially for Shakespeare. I reccomend doing a character sketch for Helena- so you understand all of her qualities (it's a very deep character.)
Good luck on your audition! ]
it is pretty nice. however, and i know this might seem counter intuitive, but you might want to do a monologue from a different play than the one you are aditioning for. with this monologue, the director might see you only as helena, so you are locking yourself in, and if someone is a better helena then you wont get it, and might not get anything else. whereas, if you if you do a different play you arent locking yourself into a role. this is assuming your auditions work the same way mine did where the director just puts you into the role they think youll do best in. ]
Hi, I've always loved the "I am ashamed that women are so simple" monologue from Taming of the Shrew. Yes, I know, it's politically incorrect, but it is very straigh-forward and easy to follow/understand, and still shows a lot of depth. The monologue you picked- do YOU like it? Are you good at it? Are you comfortable with it?
Good luck! ]
GREAT monologue choice. I love the feeling of this monologue. It's such great writing. Good luck at your audition!

I think this is an amazing monologue to audition with! It shows all sorts of varietys of emotion, which usually scores well with the judges. Great job! I hope I helped and let me know how it goes! Good luck! -GC07 ]
