my mum and me
My mother and me never had a 'great' relationship...she never was around when I was growing up, etc. Anyway so my grandma got sick and we're building a relationship.
I never do that good at school but this term I really want to. I have 5 days until test and to tell you the truth I haven't opened a book! I have about 3 weeks of exams and I really want to do and make my mum and myself proud.
See my mum is really pissed at me because I don't study and I'm online as soon as I arrive home. I know this is bad and I want to change...but the more I want to change the more I can't. So I was wondering the best way to concentrate on books and not the computer. Please DON'T give me a site because it really doesn't work. Jus tell me something that works for you...

Well, everyone studies in different ways. I really don't like studying all that much, but it's a lot easier if you make it fun. Studying with another person will make it more interesting. It's also good to think of dumb ways to remember things ( my friend Betsy is a master at this), because it will make studying easier and when you go and take the test you'll see a question and think about the dumb way you make up to remember it. Some people also like to listen to music when they study. I am one of those people. It really helps shut out the outside world. Or if that's too distracting, just sit in a quiet room. . . without a computer. Hope I helped!

have you tried studying at school? find a teacher who stays late and use his/her room to study or study in the school library. last year I started studying after school for APs 4 nights a week (and Sundays I spent at B&N). it eliminates the distractions of home and puts you in a mind to study even before you leave school.

Well, I have those problems right now. I always call a friend and study with a friend. My mom thinks thats better than just not studying at all! hten as a treat my mom lets us go swim or somehting. just trust me, call a friend go over there or have them coem over to your house...and study..dont screw around!! well..if you need any more advice on this if i didnt give you enough you can IM me- sunntannedqt223

As soon as you get home study away from a computer as far away possible...lol...read you notes with in 24 hours of writing them and rerighting them help too.

Okay, I know, just focus on your goal sweety!
Dont set your mind off it,
you need to have self control,
and be able to go study right when you get home, even if you dont want to, think of how proud you'll be of youreslf, and your mother!
It will make her hapy if you get a good grade,
but sticking to goals is always hard.

well what works for me, to make studying easier and more fun, i make games with the chapters. like for instance, i usually get really bored with studying and thats why i like to go on the computer right away. if you make the studying fun then you'll want to keep playing. if your studying for a language test then write out cards in spanish and tape them to different objects in the house nd then translate them to see if you got them right. Play games like that. It's even better to study with friends for me because you can create games together.. :)
