Yes, I have heard smoking helps you lose weight. However, smoking isn't the way to do it. Diet and exercise is a much healthier way to lose weight. Please try and quit. Hope this helps.

Yeah.. ive heard smoking helps you lose weight but you still need to seriously look into quitting. Your only in the early years of smoking so im sure you havn't done much perminent damage to your body. So quitting would be a great idea.. so you can live a long healthy life. If you want to lose weight, diet. Thats a healthy way to lose pounds. If you continue smoking JUST because you want to lose weight your only solving one problem with another.

i dont think ive ever heard that before. if you think logically about it- it cant be true. because most people say that they need a cigarette so that they can be calm. but nicotine is a stimulant- meaning it enhances energy believe it or not. so i dont see why gaining more energy for every cigarette you smoke would makeyou gain weight.

I smoked for years too, and I just resently quit. The ONLY thing I have tried that actually works is the nicotine gum. It really does work, and I can't sing it's praises enough. Smoking raises your metabolism, but not really all that much, we're talking the difference of less then a pound. The problem is, when most people quit they find themselves eating more to alliviate that oral void that used to be filled by smoking. If you don't eat any extra while you quit, and maybe add some excersise to your day, you'll loose weight just fine. Good Luck.

Smoking does help you lose weight, but not in a very healthy way. So don't let that influence your decision. There are many more ways to lose weight.
