Quite a difference

Question Posted Tuesday June 6 2006, 3:53 pm

Me and this guy have been seriously talking latley. We hang out, go to the movies, and flirt a ton. The thing is i am 17 and he is 32, and people seem to have a problem with that. We havent done ANYTHING that can get any of us in trouble, so whats the big deal? Besides, i will be 18 in 2 months.

Check out the mayonaise girl down there! Now SHE is getting molested!
You are old enough to make your own decisions, you are nearly 18 anyhow and legally an adult. You can go out with whomever you choose. If it turns out not to be quite your tastes to date an older man then you can move on. Yeah people will talk, because it isn't exactly normal. But it's your life.

Well there is 7 years in me and my boyfriend. I'm 13 and he is 20, so I can sorta know where you are coming from, cause everybody swears we were doing something.

The big deal is that people have nothing to talk about but stupid shit like, who is dating who and so on.

If he loves you, and you love him, then forget about what other people say. They are just dumb.

Well, Good Luck! :D

The big deal is, he has a lot of experience on you and people are probably predicting that he will take advantage of you. Guys like this often have a few young cuties on the side and see an attraction with only that type..."spoil em and they will do anything".

An older woman would more likely be more confident and know how to say "No" to all his demands. Now, I am not saying this is what he is, but to me this borders on being a pedofile. Just watch and observe, is he only attracted to teenagers? What kind of material does he look at, is he into teen porn?

Women peak at sexual intimacy around age 27-30, men are at their peak at 18-25. While you are in your prime, he will be heading down hill. You might not be a good match in the future if you are thinking about a long term relationship. Now I am not trying to be judgemental, but you have to think about your compatibility in years to come. I personally don't want to be with an "old man" before I'm ready. He might be looking for fast comittment because the hands of time are ticking away...and you might need some time to explore the other options and "see the world"

You may wish to take everything into consideration, and whatever you decide I wish you the best.

ok he may not be tha same age as your dad. but that could seriously be like your dad. it's just a lil werid. i really don't wanna be judgmental on you. but i totally don't think you should be doing this...sweetie ask your self this. why is he with a girl that is a billion years younger then him. something just doesn't seem right. i'm 18 and i think 25 is to old. just be careful and don't have any sexual thing with him cuz that might be what he is after. i could be wrong. but if you stay with him it'llbe like you haveing sex w/ Hugh Hefner. so think about this.

I wouldn't pursue the relationship, but if you believe that you are truly in love, then go ahead. It's your relationship, not mine. Just be careful, if he tries to make a move on you and you go in too deep, I think it can be considered illegal since he's about 2 times older than you.

If you like it, then wait until ur 18 and go for it! But first, think about it, what would you think if one of ur friends started dating a 32 year old? Would you be creeped out? Make sure he's in it for the right reasons before doing anything you may regret later. Hope I helped!
