bra for halter dress

Question Posted Monday May 29 2006, 11:30 pm

My 7th grade dance dress is a halter style but has a really really low cut V neckline. (I ordered it online and didn't realize that it was so low) I bought a strapless bra but it SHOWS a little in the back and A LOT in the front!! It is too late to return the dress and I have no money for another. And oh yeah there's no way I'll be allowed to go without a bra. So what do I do????

If you really wanna wear the dress then go to Wal-Mart and go to where the bras are. Then look for where the water push-up pads and such are. Okay, they have stick on bras that only cover your nipple. Maybe you should try that?

they make little sticky cuppy things.. that act like a bra but it's just on your boob.. they really work they have some at dillards and you might even try jc pennys or victorias secret

you can always have it altered.. or alter it yourself..
if its a halter, just cut the top part in the back that goes around your neck, or possibly have your mom do it.. you could get it professionally done too!

try a bra like this.. or something similar. I've seen them at dillards, walmart and jcpennys. Alot of other stores carry them too.

hey! well i'm not sure if it's too late to return the dress because i don't know when the dance is, i don't know where you got it and i don't know when you got it! haha but what you can do is go shopping for a new bra and take the dress with you. your best bet would be to try the underwear section of a big department store like macy's. there are soo many different bras out there, some are cut lower than others and what not, so pick a few up and try them on with the dress to see what shows through and what doesn't. if you can't find one that is covered on all sides, then pick a color bra to match the dress (ex. black bra if the dress is black) so that it is less noticeable if it shows a little bit.

if none of those work, you can try the bra cups that you just glue on to your boobs to cover the nipple and part of the breast. you can find them at department stores and victoria's secret... they are usually nude colored and deffinitely won't show!

if none of those work, then maybe try tying the dress a little higher up or even wearing a matching tube top or something under it. those are pretty much the only things you can do in this case. or you could call the store where you got this from and see what their return policies are if you really don't want the dress! good luck :)
