Ok when we hired our babysitter we agreed for 7:30am to about 3:30 from Monday to Friday and it's a well paid job. In the last 2 mnths we increased by 50% and since like the 5 mnths she's been working she comes anywhere from 8-9. My mum wants to g back too work but she says she can't come for 7:30...so should we give her the boot?
And I was wondering what age limit should we have for the next babysitter? Like is under 45 too old still?
Additional info, added Tuesday May 23 2006, 9:04 pm: and I just heard that her mother-in-law is coming out of a nursing home and she asked for the money to take care of her..but she has never told us that she might leave...that's all she said...what now? . Also, hard as it may sound, she may need the money to take care of her mother-in-law but she is being paid to look after your family through the week, which she is not doing as asked.
Your mother needs to talk to her, it may that with her commitments and time management issues, she would be better off looking for a job that is more in keeping with what she can cope with, leaving your mother free to find someone who can work the hours she needs.
Good luck. [ isis's advice column | Ask isis A Question ]

Under 45 is not too old. [ Tulipg17's advice column | Ask Tulipg17 A Question ]
roseox answered Tuesday May 23 2006, 8:21 pm: I dont think you should fire her, I just think your mom should talk to her and tell her that she needs to get to your house at 7:30. If she still continues to come late, then you should fire her.
hope i helped! [ roseox's advice column | Ask roseox A Question ]
