Anyone know any good summer reads. Everything I usually read is depressing. Like someone usually dies. I'd like suggestions of books that are funny and enjoyable to read. Even Harry Potter depresses me although I do love all the books. Maybe even books I can relate to. You know being a teenager and typical teenage problems. I'll rate anyone who gives any names

just_ask_me answered Tuesday May 23 2006, 5:27 pm: Hm, there's many of them. "Define Normal" is a good one, not really depressing. "Catcher In The Rye" is an amazing book, even though it is about a depressed boy, it's pretty funny. Anything by Stephen King is sure to be good. My favorite author is Sarah Dessen, so any book by her will be an addictive read. [ just_ask_me's advice column | Ask just_ask_me A Question ]
Vendetta answered Tuesday May 23 2006, 4:57 pm: I can think of two books that I like that might fit your criteria.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky and The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger.
You can always type in books that you like in Amazon.com, and look through the Listmania lists. Usually they have similar books to the one you are searching in there.
If per chance you decide you want to read a book that is slightly depressing (to some) but still an interesting read, feel free to send something to my inbox. [ Vendetta's advice column | Ask Vendetta A Question ]
