I eat constantly. Whenever I'm bored/tired/thinking about food, I eat. I'm not fat. I'm not skinny either I'm about 5'7 or 5'8 150 pounds. I believe that I'm gaining. I try so hard not to eat, but I end up eating in the end. I think I would be fat if it wasn't for me playing sports. I'm always worried that I'll end up being fat and slow and can't play sports but i'm always ending up eating.. how can i prevent this? Thanks in advance

But let me tell you if you do as many sports as you lead me to believe, that weight is probably muscle. But what i figured out was my problem was that i just wanted to be chewing, or having some sort of flavor, so shew gum, sugarfree preferably. If you just really want some actual food eat something healthy like bananas or celery(takes more calories to digest it that it has in it) and drink lots of water, it washes out the salty water in your body, which gets rid of lots of unneeded substances
Tulipg17 answered Thursday May 18 2006, 8:05 am: Hey honey,
It sounds like you are getting decent exercise, which is great. Your overeating might just be out of bordom, if you were busyt with other things, you would have less time to focus on food when you aren't really hungrey. You already play sports.... try to find something else to occupy your time so you aren't just sitting around and having the urge to eat.
You should like you might be in school still...maybe a job in the evenings (not at a food place)? Or an after school club? [ Tulipg17's advice column | Ask Tulipg17 A Question ]
CiNdYLoUwHoO answered Wednesday May 17 2006, 10:57 pm: I understand what you are going through. It's a pain in the ass to eat whenever your tired or bored (its called emotional eating), and its a really bad habit to get into. Its also a really hard habit to get rid of. My best advice would be to have a healthier food you go to when you get bored or tired and decide to eat. For example, instead of reaching for a bag of chips, have some carrots or grapes. (hint: try frozen grapes - just keep 'em in the freezer - they're a great substitute and they're delicious). Hope this helps and good luck.
