PARTY..SWEET SIXTEEN...but i just got my period..
hey well its my birthday this weekend! SWEET SIXTEEN! :] and my friend said that there is this hotel party that she was invited to from this other school this saturday..and i really want to go! there is gonna be drinking and stuff but the kid said we can stay there overnight. i just wanna party this weekend and celebrate because you only turn 16 once. the only problem is i got my period late today (tuesday) and it wont be gone by saturday so i dont know what to do! i wear tampons but i dont want to bring a purse to the party at all and i wanna wear flip flops and a tshirt and jeans! so i dont know what to do about my period! and if we stay overnight which we probably will..i dont want to leak! also i will need to bring tampons but where would i put them? im probably gonna be drunk so i dont wanna bring a purse--wont trust it since there will be alot of people and my friend doesnt carry a purse either!! soo what do you think i should do? the only way we can go is if we stay overnight too since we will be drinking and stuff. well thanks!

Periods are a fact of life, no big deal. You can still do whatever you want while you have them, you just need to get used to what your body needs at that time. Just carry a purse (don't you need an overnight bag anyway?). You NEED tampons, that's all there is to it. Since when is it not cool to carry a purse to party? I always want everyone to see whatever cute handbag I have at the moment.

If you go there you will undoubteldly need tampons, i dont know if this will help but heres a couple of ideas
1) if you have a car then park close and act like you need to get something, then run out there, grab a tampon, n change your tampon in the lobby bathroom.
2) If you think you will be too drunk to run out to your car then try and get there early and have some in your pocket then hide them under the bathroom sink or something.
3) bring a bag in with clothes or something that you can have in your car(nothing important or that could be stolen)then bring it inside and put it under the bed or behind the shower curtain (make sure you rememeber to put the tampons in there though)
im not sure if any of those will help but they are ideas if you can't think of anything else.

Hmm, you will definitely need to have tampons in case of TSS. If you're going to be drunk, explain this situation to your friend to keep a little handbag of tampons in a room or by the front desk. The people there will be glad to help out so you can trust them. Or, if you know of someone who is sure not to get drunk, ask them to hold on to it for you or keep it in their car. I doubt carrying a pouch of tampons around with you or in your pocket will work.
