Okay...
My friend had sex last wednesday and when she was done she went home and couldn't sleep. She felt sick, looked horrible, and even started bleeding (she didn't tell me when, though) so we skipped school on thursday to talk and see what was up. She tried to eat and she threw up. She's still bleeding, feeling sick, and everything she eats she throws back up again. Any idea of what's wrong?

Was that the first time she had sex? If the answer is yes, then she could be having some psychological issues surrounding losing her virginity.
If the answer is no, then honestly I'm not sure. Regardless, she needs to get to a doctor. It could be just coincidence that she got her period, and a touch of the flu at the same time, but I wouldn't risk it. Doctor knows best :)

If the bleeding is heavier or longer than a normal period she should get checked by a Dr. If in fact it is not her period, she could have sustained some kind of trauma that is causing the bleeding. Unless of course there is an emotional aspect involved here that could certainly bother her so much that she has the symptoms you described. However, either way the first priority is to be examined by a Dr to rule out physical trauma, and then go from there. Let me know if I can be of further assistance. Thanks, and best wishes to your friend. [ Nallie's advice column | Ask Nallie A Question ]

i know i feel disgusting when i get my period, and have difficulty keeping food down. having sex at the onset of a period would certainly make me feel pretty crook.
if you don't think it's that, a trip to the doctor would be a good idea, and she can do this confidentially (without her parents knowing).
