Question Posted Saturday May 13 2006, 6:05 pm

heyy. ok so i play traveling softball and its me LIFE. i love it more then anything<33. and we all loved our coaches. they would laugh with us and get all the parentsin the cheers and everything. but this season someones dad stepped up and decided to take over. and he is SO mmean. all he does is yell at us and tells us how bad we suck and makses horrible comments about the other team. he even got into a fight once with another coach. he is REALLY starting to piss me off. i'm seriously considering quitting or maybe just joining another team. i really don't want to quit, but i really don't enjoy it anymore. i don't want one freaking guy to ruin the thing i love.

please please help!

Hi,
I think that this new coach shouldn't br ruining your love for softball. You could try talking to him, and telling him how you REALLY feel about him coaching. Or, you could try talking to your old coachs into coming back. I really hope that it all works out in the end!

=)

You should transfer teams. It`s not fair for you to quit something you love just because you have a crappy coach. Hope I helped. =) xoxo

I say go to the main person in charge of the softball team like someone over the coaches to seriously talk to them about this. First off you should tell your mom and dad about this and have them come up there with you to tlak to the head sport's team people for sooftball. i hope that works out and i'm sorry he's such an asshole to you guys. No good team deserves all that mean spirit around them like that. hope i helped a bit!!!

hey!! I love softball too, well this has happened to me too. Have your mom or dad step up and tell this guy to back off yur just kids this isnt perfessionals yur playing now for fun and to better yur skills. If this continues to happen try out for a differnt team during try outs. Good Luck!

Well chances are that you're not the only one on your team who feel the same way. Gather up a group of you and talk to a coach or another parent so you can talk to the dad in a diplomatic way. Tell him he needs to calm down or quit.
If he really is as unstable as he sounds, he isn't in the right mental state to coach your team.
Don't quit because of him. Make him quit.

I think you should step down and join a new team. Is there anyway you "vote him off the island"? Seriously, I think you should go to another team. You'll still be able to play everything you love and then..you can keep your friends as well!!
