I'm so sorry that your pets are so ill. I know how it feels to lose animals you are close to and it hurts so badly. But believe me, giving them away will not help and if they really are suffering, you have to do what is best for them and it sounds as though that might be having them put to sleep, if this is the recommendation of the vet.

You don't say if the chow chow bit people before she went blind and was in pain. Quite often in these circumstances an animal will bite, but it's a defensive mechanism so they can't help it.
I really do understand how hard it is to lose a loved pet, but you always have to think about what is best for them, not you. If their quality of life is bad, it is better to have them put to sleep, it's the last thing you can do for them.
Take plenty of pictures and maybe a sample of their hair. Spend as much time as you can with them and then let them go in love.
It will hurt you and it won't be easy, you may never actually get over it but you will come to terms with it. It's easier when you know you have done the best thing for them.
You obviously have a lot of love in you and maybe some day you will be able to share that love with another needy dog. Take courage in what is the right thing to do.
Good luck.

Hi,
If you have a chow with medical problems that is biting "many" people, and since the blindness cannot be fixed, I agree that this dog would have to be put to sleep.

The other dogs that have pain issues and health problems should be on medication that will give them the best quality of life that you can give them for now.

If the pain or diabetes cannot be managed, then putting them to sleep is the 2nd choice, but it should not be your first choice. Giving them away should not be a choice. They are your "best friends" and no one else will want a dog with health problems. If you take them to the humane society, most likely they will not be adoptable and will be put to sleep anyway.

its better to put your dog to sleep then watch them die in your house or around you. eaither way yes it will be sad but they wont go through no pain when they die. they just die :/ ! my dog got ran over on march 23rd this yr and she died. unlike you i didnt have no other choice of how i wanted god to take her .. :[ giving your other dogs away shouldnt be a option because mabe the other people wont care for it as much as you do. and if they dont cause no troubly you can keep them. and plus its probably going to be hard to give 2 old dogs away exspeacilly if they are diabetic! either way if you put them to sleep it will be better because i dont think youd want to wake up one morning and see them dead ! or just find out they are dead somehow !

hope i helped ... best wishes
LOVE KAYLA
