Let me just add my voice to the chorus of displeased columnists. Your friend needs help and, as everyone has said, you should not be jealous. Be worried.

You should also be aware that she has probably digested every bit of muscle in her body. Muscle is the first to go during starvation periods (and what she is doing qualifies as starvation with a capital S).

Get her help and get it fast. Tell her parents or anyone that can influence her if you cant change her mind.

Good luck to you and your friend.

Wow! It sounds to me like she has an eating disorder! Seriously, the last thing you want to be is jealous of her!

Your body can't function without around 1,950 calories a day. Okay, and she's like not even eating half of that. That's totally unhealthy and she's most likely going to die!

Your best bet would be to talk to a school guidance counsler or your mom, right now. If you want to save your friend so she can get nursed back to health, then I suggest you tell someone.

Just remember, it's never bad to go on a diet but you have to eat enough so your body gets the nutrients it needs, or it will start eating off your body. I know that sounds gross, but that's how the human body works.

I hope you learn from what your friend's going through and never make that same mistake. You may be jealous of her now, but when she's in the hospital on her death bed, you will be far from jealous my friend.

That is so incredibly dumb to do, do you really think that you can fully function on 300 calories a day? Don't even give it though just use some common sense. Nothing good will come out of it. Period.

You shouldn't be jealous of your friend. You should be worried and want to help her. The average woman needs around 2,000 calories a day and at it's very least, half this if dieting. Your friend is eating just a quarter of the recommended daily amount and she needs some help to sort this out, especially if she is not overweight.

You need to speak to your Mum or her Mum about this and see if anything can be done. Eating Disorders normally stem from low self esteem or a need to control things, so perhaps some counselling might be a good idea.

In the meantime, I'm worried about your view on this. What your friend is doing is dangerous and I cannot offer any advice on sticking to such low calories per day because I will not give you a way to harm yourself. If you want to lose weight, please PLEASE do it safely, by eating a balanced healthy diet and keeping up with some regular exercise. Crash dieting like this is NOT the way to do it and I can tell you from first hand experience that the long term consequences are not worth enduring.

If you are worried about your weight or about the way you are thinking and feeling at the moment, please speak to your parents or a doctor but do not copy what your friend is doing. It's okay to want to lose weight if you are overweight but if you are a good weight right now and aren't wanting to do it sensibly, you need to seek some help, so please do. Take care of yourself.

If she doesn't start to eat she will die. Sorry there isn't a nicer way to put it.

She needs treated for anorexia and you need to inform an adult about her behavior.

Don't be jealous. She may look good at the moment but when the body doesn't get the nutrients it needs it gets ugly in a hurry. Teeth rot and fall out for one thing...not real attractive.

There are a ton of sites on anorexia, Look them up and see all the dangers. There are many. :)
