Should I be in one act play next year? I like to act, but I forget my lines sometimes! But I am good at not breaking character and putting emotion into the plays! Should I?

Oh yeah man, totally. One Acts are a great place to start. If you suck, nobody really cares, and you'll probably had made some friends in drama stuff who can probably be there and help you get better and teach you some things they do to get better. And if you are good, you are set to be in more plays and stuff, because people know you are good. It's a win-win.

You should most definately be in one. If you like to act, even whether you're good at it or not, you should always tryout. If you're not that good at memorizing lines, then start out asking for characters that don't have too many. you'll eventually get better at it, and be able to improvise more and more the better you know the scenes in plays too.
