Otherwise, you have trial versions of microsoft office programs, and you need to activate them for it to work. You can but Microsoft Office Student and Teacher edition (You don't need to be a student or teacher, you just need to not make money from using it to be elligeble) for 150 bucks. It's worth it, since you get word, outlook, excel, and powerpoint. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

ScratchesOnTheWall answered Sunday April 30 2006, 3:12 pm: yeah i was a newbie at this too. Basically found out the microsoft package is something you have to buy separately (who knew?). You should be able to get it at any computer store and it'll ome in a nice shiny box saying either "microsoft office" or "microsoft home" depending on exactly what programmes you need. You can get illegal copies but if it messes up or, worse, messes up your computer you're pretty screwed as microsoft obviously won't help you. x [ ScratchesOnTheWall's advice column | Ask ScratchesOnTheWall A Question ]
soccerplayer5674 answered Sunday April 30 2006, 2:51 pm: Do you mean microsoft? If not, do you have an illegal copy? I suggest getting regular Microsoft Office complete with Microsoft word and other programs. It's a little pricy but worth it. Look into it. =)
Chicken_flavored_eggs answered Sunday April 30 2006, 1:08 pm: Is mircosolf a generic version of Mircosoft? If so, is it assloads cheaper than the 200.00 they want for Microsoft Office? If you find it, let me know.
In my opinion, Bill Gates has enough money. Ask a friend or relative if they have their Microsoft office CD's that came with their computers or if they have a back up you can load onto yours.
Vikki27 answered Sunday April 30 2006, 12:39 pm: Basically, it means that either the product was not been installed correctly or it has been deleted from your computer. In order to make it work, you will need to track down the discs to re-install it. [ Vikki27's advice column | Ask Vikki27 A Question ]

a) Illegally obtain a product key (this is really easy but I don't know your code of eithics)
b) Use a freeware alternative, ajax anyone?
Here is a free browser based word processor very similar to MS word. Enjoy.
